James would like to acknowledge that the area of the Greater Victoria School District is the traditional territory of the lək̓ʷəŋən (Lekwungen) peoples, today known as the Songhees Nation and Xʷsepsəm/Esquimalt Nation, on which we learn and work, and the Nations continue their relationship with these lands to this day.
